Fiji Airways have launched a new on-board experience on all their flights. The new experience passengers will enjoy consists of healthier food, improved in-flight entertainment, in-flight duty free and an in-flight magazine provided by Cover Story Ltd.
Chief Executive of the airline, Stefan Pichler, enthused that the changes were made to give the passenger a real taste of Fijian spirit and culture.
The new menu provided on all flights will offer passengers the chance to experience true Fijian cuisine as it will be prepared by Air Terminal Services (ATS) Fiji it’s assistance of Fiji’s own culinary ambassador, Chef Lance Seeto. Mai Life had the opportunity to taste all of the new vegetarian and meat options on offer. They were delicious. Oozing with Fijian flavour, the meals will be a certain highlight of every passenger’s flight.
Passengers in business class will order off a ‘a – la – carte’ style menu and will be able to enjoy the airline’s ‘enhanced sleeper service’, which allows passengers to eat whenever they want to.
The in-flight entertainment service now offered to all passengers will be entirely free of charge. Along with more choice, there will also be more local Fijian programs on offer, as to “Fijianise” the experience further.
Another luxury passengers can take advantage of is the in-flight duty free. Again, making sure the experience is hugely Fijian.
Pichler did not ignore the success Fiji Airways has already seen, as he praised the “amazingly accommodative and charismatic” cabin crew, however, he could not resist striving to make the airline better than all its competitors. “The changes we have made are a big step forward”, he said.
